Abstract:

Sonuç: Çalışmamızda her iki gruptaki gebelerin ASÖ puanı orta düzeydedir ve riskli gebelerde ASÖ puanı normal gebelerde elde edilen değerlerden anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur. Gebelikte olumsuz psikososyal reaksiyonların tanınması ve koruyucu sağlık hizmetlerinin geliştirilmesinin, anne ve bebeğin sağlık sonuçlarının iyileştirilmesine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Assessment Of Perceived Stress Levels and Stress Factors In Pregnant Women
2020
Author:
Abstract:

Purpose: This study was conducted to review and compare perceived stress levels and stress factors in pregnant women at high risk and no risk. Materials and Methods: Study sample consisted of 312 pregnant women (156 high-risk/156 normal) who presented to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Polyclinic of two Ministry of Health-affiliated hospitals in Ankara from August 2017 to February 2018. A “Questionnaire” and “Perceived Stress Scale” (PSS) were used as data collection tool in the study. Results: Median PSS score was 24.0 in pregnant women at high risk and 21.0 in normal pregnant women. PSS score was significantly higher in high-risk pregnant women than normal pregnant women. While stress factors such as having diagnosis of high-risk pregnancy, presence of danger signs in pregnancy, adverse events developed during pregnancy and uncertainties regarding pregnancy were more common in pregnant women at high risk, stress due to pregnancy fears was more common in normal pregnant women in our study. Conclusion: In our study, PSS the scores of pregnant women in both groups were moderate. And the PSS score was found to be significantly higher in risky pregnant women than in normal pregnant women. It is believed that recognition of negative psychosocial reactions in pregnancy and improvement of health care would promote health outcomes in mothers and infants.
