EBELİK ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN EBELİK MESLEĞİ HAKKINDAKİ GÖRÜŞLERİ VE MESLEĞE YÖNELİK BEKLENTİLERİ/ VIEWS AND EXPECTATIONS OF MIDWIFERY STUDENTS TOWARDS THE PROFESSION OF MIDWIFERY

Özet:

Amaç: Araştırma, ebelik öğrencilerinin ebelik mesleği hakkındaki görüşleri ve mesleğe yönelik beklentilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte yapıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini, bir üniversitenin sağlık yüksekokulunun ebelik bölümü öğrencileri (n=376) oluşturdu. Araştırmanın örneklemini örneklem seçimine gidilmeden belirlenen ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden tüm öğrenciler (n=290) oluşturdu. Öğrencilerin özellikleri, ebeliğe yönelik görüş ve beklentilerinin belirlenmesi için 19 sorudan oluşan bir bilgi formu kullanıldı. Veriler ortalama ve yüzdelik oranları üzerinden sunuldu. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,57(SS=2,26)’dır. Öğrencilerin çoğu (%59,3) bölümünü isteyerek seçmemiş, %30’ u bölümü iş bulma kolaylığı düşüncesiyle seçmiş. Öte yandan öğrencilerin %41,0’ı bölümü kazanmadan önce ebelik hakkında olumsuz, %52,8’i şuanda da ebelik hakkında olumsuz düşünmekte ve %59,3’ü üniversite tercihi yapacak öğrencilere ebeliği önermeyeceklerini belirttiler. Ebelik mesleğinin sorunlarına ilişkin birden fazla cevaplar vermiş olup, öğrencilerin %43,4’ü yoğun iş yüküne bağlı ebeliğin sevilerek yapılmadığını bildirdi. Öğrencilerin %39,7’si ebelik yöneticilerinin ebe olması gerektiğini belirtti. Ebeliğe yönelik beklentilere ilişkin en fazla; öğrencilerin %56,2’si okullarda ebe akademisyen sayısının artacağı ve %53,8’inin ebeliğin gelecekte daha saygın bir meslek olarak tanınacağı cevabını verdi. Sonuçlar: Öğrencilerin görüş ve beklentileri öğrenim görülen sınıflara göre şekillenmektedir. Öğrencilerin mesleğe ilişkin problemlere bağlı olumsuz görüşleri olduğu görülse de, mesleğin gelişimine yönelik çözüm odaklı bazı önerileri bulunmaktadır. Aim: This research was done to identify the views and expectations of midwifery students towards midwifery. Material and Methods: The research was done descriptively. The population of the study included midwifery department students (n=376) from the health high school of a university. All the students accepting to participate in the research (n=290) were gathered in the research sample without applying any sampling method. An information form including 19 questions was used to identify student features and their views and expectations towards midwifery. The data were presented through mean and percentage. Results: The age average of the participants was 20.57 (SS=2.26). Majority of them (59.3%) did not choose the department willingly and 30% chose it in anticipation of finding a job easily. Likewise, 41.0% had negative opinions about the department before matriculation and 59.3% have negative ideas for midwifery currently and stated they would not suggest midwifery department to the students who would make university preference (59.3%). The questions about the problems of midwifery had more than one answer and 43.4% said the profession was not fulfilled gladly. 39.7% stated midwifery administrators should be midwives. 56.2% responded the number of midwife academicians would increase and 53.8% expected midwifery would be perceived as a more prestigious profession in the future regarding the question about expectations towards midwifery. Conclusion: Views and expectations of the students were shaped according to their grade levels. Although it was seen that they had negative views depending on the problems regarding the profession, they had several solution offers for the development of the profession.

Purpose: The research was carried out in order to determine the opinions of abortion students about the abortion profession and their expectations for the profession. Method and method: The research was conducted in the identifying type. The universe of the research was formed by the students of a university’s health college’s ability department (n=376). The sample of the study was formed by all students who were identified and accepted to participate in the study (n=290) without going to the sample selection. A form of information consisting of 19 questions was used to determine the characteristics of the students, their views and expectations of adulthood. The data was presented on average and percentage rates. The average age of students who participated in the study is 20.57 (SS = 2.26). The majority of students (59.3%) did not choose the part voluntarily, and the 30% chose the part with the idea of the ease of finding a job. On the other hand, 41,0% of students said they were negative about pregnancy before winning the section, 52.8% said they are negative about pregnancy and 59.3% said they would not recommend pregnancy to students who would prefer university. A number of answers on the problems of the profession were given, with 43.4 percent of students report that the workload of the workload was not done by pleasure. 39.7 percent of students said the babysitters should be a parent. In relation to the expectations for pregnancy, 56.2% of students said that the number of parents academics in schools will increase and 53.8% said that pregnancy will be recognized as a more prestigious profession in the future. Results: The students' opinions and expectations are shaped according to the classes they study. Although students appear to have negative views about professional issues, there are some solutions-oriented suggestions for the development of the profession.
