Abstract:

Out-of-school learning can be defined as teaching activities conducted outside the classroom to realise the program's targeted gains in the learning and teaching process. Out-of-school learning environments are used to provide students with information, skills, and values related to students or expand the classroom's teaching activities. These environments must be visited within the framework of a specific plan and legal program. For this purpose, it is aimed to determine the general framework for the practitioners of the program by preparing the Off-School Learning Environments by the Ministry of Education in line with the Ministry of Education in 2023. In the study, 2018 Primary and Secondary School 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Grade Social Studies Curriculum, the status of out-of-school learning environments in the manual was examined. In the study designed by qualitative research method, document analysis method was used. The data collected were analyzed by the descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research; In the explanations included in the achievements of the 2018 primary and secondary school 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade Social Studies Curriculum, it was concluded that it was stated that different out-of-school learning environments in the guide should be directly utilized. However, in some achievements in the program, it was concluded that there is no explanation of any class learning environment. Based on these results, various recommendations have been developed.
