Abstract:

The Views of 4th Grade Nursing Students on Family Medicine Purpose: It was aimed to determine the opinions of 4th grade students of Department of Nursing, Mugla School of Health Sciences in this study. Methods: It was reached to all the students (126 students) in descriptive study. After obtaining the necessary permission, the data were collected with questionnaire.Total 14 questions were asked in questionnaire have 7 question for students' socio-demographic characteristics and 7 question for the opinions about Family Health Center. Also for the evaluation of the services provided in Family Health Center were given to 21 items. Data were evaluated on the computer. Results: It was determined that all students had knowledge about the family medicine and they got this knowledge at school, also 62 % of these students have comprehended enough of this knowledge, 82.5 % of them do not want to work in this unit, 63.3% of 22 students, who want to work, prefer as there are not any guard duties, 61.1% of them were of the opinion that the quality of the services provided by is moderate. It is stated that the system is adequate in terms of service quality about the issues of students, staff attitudes and behaviors, access to physicians, examination room, physical condition, blood pressure, injection, dressing services, prescribing medicine. However, it is also indicated that the service is not sufficient in areas such as physical structure of the FHC building, the number of employees, laboratory services, immunization, pregnancy, baby monitoring, home visits, home nursing care, emergency response. Conclusion: In the study, it was determined that the students saw as insufficient of the services quality.In this context informing students about family medicine model, improving physical conditions and the services as well as doing more comprehensive studies on the family medicine model is recommended.
