Turizm, kuşkusuz ekonomik, kültürel, sosyal ve çevresel açıdan turizm faaliyetinin gerçekleştiği bölgeleri, o bölgelerde yaşayan yerel halkı olumlu ve olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Turizm sektörünün bölge ve insanlar üzerinde ki etkilerinin neler olduğunun belirlenmesi turizm sektörünün olumlu yönde gelişme gösterebilmesi açısından önemlidir. Turizm faaliyetlerinin gerçekleştiği bölgede yaşayan yerel halkın turizm sektörüne yönelik görüşlerinin alınması ve değerlendirilmesi, hem bölgeden elde edilecek turizm gelirlerinin artmasına hem de bölgede ki turizm kaynaklarının daha verimli kullanılmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu çalışma Erzincan ili Kemaliye ilçesinin turizm potansiyelini ve yerel halkın turizme karşı bakış açısını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda veriler anket uygulanarak toplanmış ve veriler toplam 322 anketten yararlanılarak SPSS paket programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre yerel halk turizmin yatırım, istihdam ve hayat standartlarını arttırdığını düşünmektedirler. Ayrıca turizm toplumsal şiddeti arttırmadığını ve kültürler arasında kuvvetli ilişkiler oluşturduğu öne sürmektedir.
Tourism, of course, has a positive and negative impact on the areas where tourism activity occurs in an economic, cultural, social and environmental perspective. It is important to determine what the impact of the tourism sector on the region and people is important for the tourism sector to be able to develop in a positive direction. The adoption and evaluation of the views of the local people living in the area where tourism activities take place will ensure the increase in tourism revenues from the region and the more efficient use of tourism resources in the region. This study aims to determine the tourism potential of the Erzincan or Kemaliye district and the view of the local people towards tourism. For this purpose, the data was collected through the application of the survey and the data was analyzed using the SPSS package program using a total of 322 surveys. According to the results of the analysis, local people believe that tourism increases the investment, employment and living standards. It also suggests that tourism does not increase social violence and that it creates strong relationships between cultures.
