Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the travel experiences of the people who participate in a tourist train journey and the quality of the services offered throughout the East Express tourist train journey to make this journey a more pleasant and demanding experience. In the research used the quality research method, the discussions were held on 25-28 January 2019. During the tourist East Express and Ankara-Kars flight, 56 passengers who landed in Kars and accepted the conversation were held permanent conversations of 25-35 minutes. According to the findings obtained as a result of the conversations, all the participants recommend this trip to others. The most repeated reasons for preferring this trip are natural beauty, tourist trips, advertising, nostalgia and cheapness. The most frequently repeated deficiencies in services are the cleaning of the toilet and the narrowness of the washrooms, the insufficiency of the electric prints in the wagons, the short duration of stations and the lack of ventilation and lighting systems. The activities that can be done in Kars are to go to the Sarıkamış Ski Center, taste local meals and ride to the girl in the Crazy Lake.
