Bu araştırma okuma ve anlama güçlüğü olan bir üçüncü sınıf öğrencisinin, bu güçlüklerinin tespiti ve giderilmesi amacıyla yapılmış bir örnek olay çalışmasıdır. Çalışma da öncelikle çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı okuma ve anlama güçlüğü olan bir öğrencinin okuma güçlükleri ve nedenleri belirlenmiş, daha sonra bu güçlükleri gidermeye yönelik olarak uygulanabilecek olan yöntemler tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencinin okuma ve anlama hatalarının belirlenmesi aşamasında Yanlış Analiz Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Öğrencinin uygulamaya başlamadan önce yaptığı okuma sırasında atlama, ekleme, yanlış okuma ve tekrarlama gibi okuma hataları yaptığı görülmüştür. Öğrencinin yapmış olduğu bu hataların genel olarak yanlış heceleme, motivasyon eksikliği ve az okuma yapmaktan kaynaklandığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sorunların ortadan kaldırılması için öğrenciye içinde düzeye uygun okuma çalışmaları ve farklı etkinliklerin yer aldığı beş haftadan oluşan bir öğretim programı uygulanmıştır. Öğrencinin okuma güçlüklerini ortadan kaldırmak için yapılan çalışmalarda kullanmak amacıyla birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü sınıf düzeyine uygun farklı okuma parçaları seçilmiş ve çalışmalar tekrarlı okuma, eko okuma, eşli okuma vb. yöntemlerle seçilen bu parçalar üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama başlamadan önce üçüncü sınıf düzeyinde bir metinle yapılmış olan ön test sonuçlarında öğrencinin kelime tanıma ve anlama seviyesi endişe düzeyinde çıktığı gözlenmiştir. Öğrenciye uygulanan program sonrasında yine üçüncü sınıf metni ile yapılan son test sonucunda ise öğerencinin öğretim düzeyine yükseldiği gözlenmiştir.
This research is an example event study by a third-class student with difficulty reading and understanding, which is done in order to identify and eliminate these difficulties. The study also first identified the reading difficulties and causes of a student with difficulty in reading and understanding due to a variety of reasons, and then identified the methods that can be applied to address these difficulties. The student’s error of reading and understanding has been identified. It has been found that the student has made reading errors during reading before he begins the application, such as jumping, adding, wrong reading and repeating. These mistakes the student made were found to be generally caused by misleading, lack of motivation and less reading. To eradicate these problems, a five-week curriculum is implemented in which the student takes part in a level-friendly reading work and various activities. For the purpose of using the study to eliminate the student's reading difficulties, different reading parts are selected in accordance with the first, second and third class levels and the study is repeated reading, eco reading, parallel reading, etc. These methods are selected. In the preliminary test results, which were made with a text at the third-class level before the application began, the student’s level of word recognition and understanding was observed at a level of concern. After the program applied to the student again with the third class text, the final test resulted in the elevation of learning to the teaching level.
