Bu çalışmada üniversite eğitimi gören kadın öğrencilerin, kadının güçlenmesi ile Türkiye’de yaşayan kadınların güçlenmesi sorununa yönelik bakış açılarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çerçevede Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nin farklı bölümlerinde öğrenim gören 219 kadın öğrencinin katıldığı nicel bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında uygulanan anketler ile ilk olarak öğrencilerin kadının güçlenmesinde rol oynayan etkenlere, sorumlu aktörlere, kararlara katılımın önemine, sorunun kökenine ilişkin değerlendirmeleri alınmıştır. Ardından öğrencilerin gözünden, Türkiye’de kadınların hareket serbestisinin sınırlılıklarının, kendilerini ilgilendiren kararlara katılım gücünün ve yaşamlarını kontrol gücünü zayıflatan etkenlerin neler olduğu anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda kadınların bireysel düzeyde güçlenmeleri kadar toplumsal düzeyde de dönüşümü sağlayabilecek alanların önemi ortaya konulmuştur. Buna göre kadınların kendilerini güçlü kılacak koşulları yaratabilecekleri tercihler yapabilmeleri, güçlendirici bir niteliğe sahip eğitime katılmaları, siyaset alanında bizzat yer almaları, kadının sosyal ve ekonomik durumunun iyileşmesini sağlayacak türde ücretli çalışma biçimlerinde yer almaları son derece önemlidir
This study aims to study the views of women students who have received university education, the strengthening of women and the strengthening of women living in Turkey. In this framework, a quantitative study was conducted in which 219 women students who studied in different departments of the University of Hacettepe participated. In the framework of the research, the surveys were first taken to assess the factors that play a role in the strengthening of women, the responsible actors, the importance of participation in decisions, the origin of the problem. Then, from the eyes of the students, it was tried to understand what are the limitations of women’s freedom of movement in Turkey, the ability to participate in decisions that concern them and the factors that weaken their control of their lives. The research has shown the importance of the areas that women can make transformation at the social level as well as the strength of the individual level. According to this, it is extremely important that women may make choices that can create conditions that make themselves strong, participate in education of a enhancing nature, participate in the political field, participate in the forms of paid work that will improve the social and economic situation of the woman.
In this study, it was aimed to examine that perspectives of female university students on women’s empowerment and the problems of empowerment of women living in Turkey. In this context, quantitative research was conducted on a sample of 219 female students studying at different departments of Hacettepe University. First, via questionnaires were received the assessment of the students about the factors that played a role in the empowerment of women, the responsible actors and the importance of participation in the decisions for women’s empowerment, and the origins of the problem of women’s empowerment. Then, it was tried to understand, in the eyes of students, what are the limitations of movement freedom of women, and which factors diminish women’s power of the participation in decisions and their power to control their own lives. As a result of the research, the importance of the areas that can provide transformation at the social level as well as the empowerment of women at the individual level was presented. According to the research, it is essential for women to make choices that will make them strong, to participate in an empowering education, to take part in the field of politics, and to work paid improving the social and economic situation of women
