Abstract:

Increasing competition conditions due to the influence of globalization require an obligation to improve business performance from day to day. Today, it is believed that the financial performance of that provide cost savings and enhance their performance will also increase without giving up quality. The study aimed at determining the annual financial performance rankings of enterprises in the manufacturing sector that are traded in BIST. Financial indicators have been used to determine financial performance, and entropic method for objective weighting has been used to determine the weights of these indicators. TopSIS and VIKOR methods are preferred from multiple criteria decision making techniques to make financial performance rankings of. After comparing rankings with TOPSIS and VIKOR methods, it was examined by the line of correlation analysis whether there is a relationship between the financial performance of the enterprises and the exchange performance.

Today, businesses that save costs and increase their efficiency without sacrificing quality is expected to increase their financial performance.  The aim of the study is to determine the annual financial performance rankings of companies in the manufacturing sector that are traded in BIST. The financial indicators were used to determine the financial performance and the entropy method for objective weighting was used to determine the weights of these indicators. TOPSIS and VICOR methods are preferred for the financial performance ranking.  Firstly the rankings made with the TOPSIS and VIKOR methods are compared, then the correlation between the financial performances of the companies and the stock exchange performance.
