Ünlü İspanyol sürrealist sanatçı Salvador Dali, sanatın pek çok disiplininde eserler ortaya koymuş, resimden sinemaya, heykelden takıya uzanan üretimler gerçekleştirmiştir. Hem kendi yaşadığı dönemde hem de bugün eserleri ile karşılaşan izleyiciler ve sanat alımlayıcıları, Dali’nin ne anlatmak istediğini doğrudan algılayamamış ve bazı okumalar yapıldıktan sonra sanatçının seviyesine erişilmiştir. Sanatın plastik dili ile ilgili kuramsal yayın, çizili materyallere (sanat yapıtlarına) kıyasla daha azdır. Panofsky’nin ortaya koymuş olduğu üç inceleme basamağı sanat tarihi araştırmalarında ve sanat eseri incelemelerinde esas alınmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile Dali’nin heykel sanatında ortaya koymuş olduğu tasarımlardan biri üzerinde öncelikle en temel düzeyde doğal anlam (ön ikonografi) daha sonra anlaşmalı anlam (ikonografi) ve son olarak da ikonoloji başlıkları altında çözümlemeler/yorumlamalar yapılacaktır. Farklı basamaklarda yapılacak incelemeler ile bir sanat eserine nasıl bakılması gerektiği, onu anlamlandırma ve sonrasında ise değerlendirmenin nasıl yapılacağı öğrenilmiş olacaktır.
The famous Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dali has shown works in many disciplines of art, produced productions ranging from painting to cinema, from statue to jewelry. The spectators and art buyers, both in their own time and today, who met with their works, were unable to perceive directly what Dali wanted to tell, and after some readings they reached the level of the artist. The theoretical publication of the plastic language of art is less compared to painted materials (art works). The three study stages that Panofsky has revealed are based on the research of art history and the study of artwork. With this study, one of the designs that Dali has presented in the sculpture art will be first on the most basic level of natural meaning (pre-iconography), then on the agreed meaning (iconography) and finally on the iconology titles. The study will be done at different stages and will learn how to look at an artwork, to understand it and then to evaluate it.
Famous Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dali performs a lot of artworks in different fields. His working fields vary from picture to cinema and sculpture to jewel design. The audience and art recipients both who live today and lived in Dali's period couldn’t understand what he wants to tell until they study on the designs, after the studying, they reach his level. The number of theoretical investigations about the plastic language of art is lower than drawings (artworks). In the field of art history investigations and artwork analyzing based on Panofsky’s three examination steps. In this research, one of Dali’s designs in sculpture art is going to be analyzed step by step, firstly and basically natural meaning, secondly consensus meaning, and lastly internal meaning (iconology). How an artwork must be looked at, how must be interpreted and how must be evaluated is going to be learned after examinations which are going to be done with different steps.
