Günümüzde kırsal alanlarda kalkınmanın sağlanabilmesinde yalnızca ekonomik yatırımlar yeterli olmamakta, sermayenin farklı boyutlarının da üzerinde durulması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada kırsal kalkınma, sosyal boyutuyla incelenmiş; sermaye beşeri ve sosyal sermaye yönüyle ölçülmüş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda Aydın ilinde üç ilçeden seçilen 96 çiftçiyle yüz yüze anket yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistiki yöntemler kullanılmış; sosyal sermaye ve beşeri sermaye unsurları ki-kare analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Yaş, tarımsal deneyim, eğitim gibi faktörlerin sosyal sermaye düzeyine etkisi varyans analiziyle araştırılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre yaş, ilçe ve hane nüfusu ile sosyal sermaye arasında anlamlı farklılık oluşmamış ancak, eğitim ve tarımsal deneyim ile sosyal sermaye arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulgulanmıştır.
Today, not only economic investments are sufficient, but also different dimensions of capital need to be emphasized in order to ensure development in rural areas. In this study, rural development was examined with its social dimension; capital is measured and evaluated in terms of human and social capital. In this context, a face-to-face survey was conducted with 96 farmers from 3 districts in Aydin. Descriptive statistical methods were used in the analysis of the obtained data; social capital and human capital were analyzed by chi-square analysis. The effect of factors such as age, agricultural experience, and education on social capital level was investigated by analysis of variance. According to the results of the analysis, there was no significant difference between age, district and household population and social capital, but significant relationships were found between education and agricultural experience and social capital.
