Abstract:

Hussein Water (1952) is one of the strong pensals and important historians of today's Turkish literature. His stories have been published in magazines such as Literature, Mavera, Islam and Art, Hece and Hece Story. In addition to his story, he has also given products in the trial, criticism, review and biography types. He has collected his stories in books: Tunnels (1983), Smileful Eating (1998), Mother Cold (1999), Love's Conditions (1999) and Inner Blood (2018). In the rich story universe, Hussein Water traces the trace of lost values, lost beauty, a decent life. In their stories, generational conflicts, family dramas, inner discomforts and the problems and disputes arising from them are described with deep psychological assessments, rich illustrations. In his stories, the individual’s inner world, the attitude in life, the changing society and the pursuit of goodness, righteousness and beauty left behind in the world order. As a being, the essence of man and the elements that influence, change, transform this essence are treated. In a modern world and under the enclosure of this world, the inner trouble, pain, disappointment, questioning of the person is forming another vein where he focuses on Hussein's Water stories. With his stories that keep light on the inner world of the man in the disconnectivity and loneliness, Hussein Water has a special place in Turkish literature.
