Abstract:

The term public private partnership refers to a model of partnership established so that the private sector can use its capital and other facilities for public good in the areas of public service is provided. It is a model that has been put into practice to provide public services by the private sector and to build hospitals and other healthcare facilities that need big capital in the healthcare sector. With the city hospitals established as part of the health transformation program, this model has been passed on to life, and investments have begun to be made. In this study, the opinions of the health administrators in Ankara and Trabzon on the implementation of public private partnership in Turkey were evaluated. For this purpose, the data were collected by a questionnaire prepared by the researchers. According to the results obtained, it has been determined that the health administrators have a variety of knowledge about the application. It has been determined that the activities of the Ministry of Health are effective at this level of knowledge. Besides that, the perceptions are generally positive, but there are some uncertainties because of the health facilities foreseen by the model are in the process of being implemented, yet the results of the evaluation have not been achieved sufficiently.
