Woman Shaman Picture(Munyıodo) written by KIM Dongni, who is also the honorary president of Korean Writers Union, has been translated into Turkish by Nana LEE and Açelya YAVUZ. The shamanism belief that lives in today's Korea has not lost its meaning in Korea. Shamanism is a belief system that has had an impact on Korean society for many years. Shamanism, which forms the basis of Korean culture, has an important effect on Korean society in traditional dances, songs, clothing, and making sense of colors. When the Korean people became ill, faced with an unknown situation, or wanted to prophesy about the future, they resorted to Shamanism rituals. Korean people also applied to the Shaman to perform these rituals. The shaman is expected to communicate with the soul and solve the problem. The story “Woman Shaman Painting” is based on the belief in shamanism, Christianity, which is the basis of Korean society. The studied work gives information about the effects of Shamanism belief on Korean society and how it exists. The work, written in 1936 and addressing the decline of the belief in shamanism and the religion of Christianity through mother and son, was examined through literature review and document analysis. In this article, it is aimed to examine the shamanistic elements of Korea by analyzing the story titled Woman Shaman Painting. In this study, the life of the Korean writer KIM Dongni and the summary of the story discussed; the characteristics of the people in the story; the characteristics of the village mentioned in the work, the characteristics of the house where the protagonist woman shaman lives, and the shamanistic elements in shaman prayers.
