Abstract:

Container transportation, which has emerged in recent years and has become an indispensable element of maritime transportation, is the most widely used mode of transportation in today's world foreign trade transportation. In the face of the increasing importance of container transportation, the number of scientific researches is increasing at the same rate. The aim of this research is to make a bibliometric analysis of the postgraduate theses on container transportation, which can be accessed on the website of the National Thesis Center of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey between 1999-2022. At the end of the research it is found that most of them are master theses and written in Turkish. It has been determined that the most postgraduate theses were published in public universities, social sciences institutes and business administration departments in Istanbul and Izmir in 2018. In addition, it has been determined that most of the theses are studied on business, container transportation is used as a keyword, and professor doctors are thesis advisors. Despite Turkey's strategic position in the world, the number of studies dealing with container transportation in postgraduate theses is quite low.
