So many results that aren't mine?

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı üniversitelerin turizm fakültelerinde okuyan öğrencilerin günümüz Türkiye’sinin en önemli ve gelişen sektörlerinden birisi olan turizme ve eğitim gördükleri kurumlarına yönelik görüşlerini ortaya koyarak, onların meslek seçimlerine ilişkin genel motivasyon seviyelerini belirlemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini ana misyonu Turizm sektörüne nitelikli ve seçkin eleman yetiştirmek olan Akdeniz Üniversitesi Manavgat Turizm Fakültesi’nde eğitim görmekte olan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma dâhilinde toplam 213 adet öğrenciye geçerli anket uygulanmış olup elde edilen verileri analiz etmek amacıyla T-testi ve ANOVA kullanılmış ve frekans tabloları hazırlanmıştır. Analizler neticesinde öğrencilerin sınıflarının, bölümlerinin, turizm fakültesini isteyerek seçmelerinin motivasyon seviyelerini etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Ancak cinsiyetlerinin ve mezun oldukları liselerin meslek seçim motivasyonlarına yönelik anlamlı bir etki ortaya koymadığı belirlenmiştir.

Research on the level of professional motivation of tourism students: Example of the University of Mediterranean Manavgat Tourism Faculty

Abstract:

The main objective of this research is to determine the general motivation levels for their career choices, by showing their views towards the institutions they see in tourism and education, which is one of the most important and developing sectors of today's Turkey. The sample of the study is made by students who are studying at the Manavgat Tourism Faculty of the Mediterranean University, which is the main mission of training qualified and outstanding elements in the tourism sector. In the study, a total of 213 applicable surveys were implemented and T-tests and ANOVA were used to analyze the data obtained and frequency tables were prepared. Analysis has found that students’ classes, departments, tourism faculty willingly choose influence the motivation levels. However, it has been determined that their gender and high schools they graduate have no meaningful impact on the motivations for the career choice.
