Amaç – Bu çalışmanın amacı, işe yabancılaşmanın ve kontrol odağının, işten ayrılma niyetine olan etkisini ve işe yabancılaşma ile işten ayrılma niyeti arasındaki ilişkide içsel ve dışsal kontrol odağının düzenleyici etkisinin olup olmadığını yat kaptanları örnekleminde incelemektir. Araştırmanın bir diğer amacı da yat kaptanlarının içsel ve dışsal kontrol odakları arasındaki farkın ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Yöntem – Çalışmanın amaçları doğrultusunda 390 yat kaptanına yüz yüze anket uygulanmış ve toplanan veriler SPSS 22 ve AMOS 22 istatistiksel paket programlarının yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular – Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, yat kaptanlarının işten ayrılma niyetlerindeki değişimin % 24’ünün işe yabancılaşma ve kontrol odağının birlikte açıkladığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra dışsal kontrol odağının, işe yabancılaşma ve işten ayrılma niyeti arasındaki ilişkide düzenleyici bir etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tartışma – Yat turizminin önemli değerlerinden biri olan ve ticari yat mürettebatı hiyearşisinde en üst mevkide yer alan yat kaptanlarının işe yabancılaşmaları ve işten ayrılma niyetlerini belirlemek günümüz koşullarında yat işletmelerinin varlıklarını sürdürebilmeleri ve rekabet üstünlüğü sağlayabilmeleri için oldukça önemlidir. Bununla birlikte yat kaptanlarının konumları ve sorumlulukları göz önüne alındığında bir kişilik özelliği olan kontrol odağının değerlendirilmesi örgütsel açıdan yat işletmelerine fayda sağlamaktadır.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of foreignization and control focus on the intention to leave the job and whether internal and external control focus has a regulatory effect on the relationship between foreignization and intention to leave the job. Another purpose of the study is to identify the difference between the internal and external control centers of the jet captains. Method - In accordance with the objectives of the study, a face-to-face survey was carried out to 390 yacht captains and the data collected was analyzed with the help of the statistical package programs SPSS 22 and AMOS 22. The findings - The findings found that 24% of the shifts in the intentions of the jet captains to leave the job were declared together by the outsourcing and control focus. In addition, the external control center has been found to have a regulatory effect on the relationship between foreigning to work and the intention of leaving the job. Discussions - It is very important for the captains of the yacht, which are one of the important values of yacht tourism and are in the top position in the commercial yacht crew, to determine their intentions to leave the job and to maintain their assets in the present conditions and to ensure competitive superiority. However, taking into account the positions and responsibilities of the yacht captains, the assessment of the control focus, which is a personality characteristic, is organizationally beneficial for the yacht enterprises.
