Drimia belongs to the Asparagaceae family. Urginea) in the book "Turkey Plants List (Damarlı Plants)" is named "Cıbılörümcekotu" as a Turkish name and the Anthericum is also named "Turkish Plants List". In the previous work, the name was given to the Anthericum race the name "Spider" and the Drimia race the name "Spider". This name may be used due to the proximity of the sexes to each other. Therefore, the "Smith" is not the name used among the people of the plant. When the ethnobotanic studies conducted in Turkey are studied, it is seen that the Drimia species is known among the people as "Adasoğanı". Therefore, according to the Turkish Scientific Plant Names Guidelines, the name "Adasoğanı" for the Drimia species is recommended, and the names derived from the word "Adasoğanı" for the species of this species.
