Acute myocardial infarction, which can result in death, comes as the most important in disaster scenarios in cardiovascular diseases when not diagnosed in time and treated appropriately. Nursing care is quite important in cases with acute myocardial infarction. In patient's care; subjects such as continuous patient evaluation, prevention of possible complications and early diagnosis, managing anginal pain, supplying myocardium's oxygen need, maintenance of the optimal cardiac output, education of the patient and his/her family hold such an important place. Thus, the nurses who are meant to deliver health care services to these patients need to use nursing progress and classification systems as gudies in order to assess the patient integratively and plan the appropriate interventions. The usage of Nursing Interventions Classification System, one of the classification systems that ensures the reliability of care, provides convenience and efficiency in achieving the desired and appropriate caring result in patients that experienced acute myocardial infarction. In this case presentation, during the preparation of nursing progress where the patient's truelife and potential problems were examined, Functional Health Patterns Model was used as base and it was demonstrated that the used Functional Health Patterns Model was found to be directive in assessing the patient in an integrative and systematic way and it provided convenience in choosing the appropriate interventions in patient care.
