Abstract:

The circles are the conargocker extensions of the existing Bozkır culture understanding on Turkistan geography living in Anatolia and Rumeli. Most of the Circles living in Antalya, at the beginning of the 20th century, lived a circular conargocker in the shadow and shadow axis. This way of living of the small-powered animals is built on a moving structure. The basis of the study is Tevfik Macid's "An'ane and Âdetleri: Yörükler in Antalya Vilâyet" under the title of the New Idea Mecmuya published in Konya between 1 September 1927 and 1 January 1928 five articles published on Yörükler. This series of articles in the New Idea Mecmuasa consists of articles that tell the original and traditional lives of the Circles living in Antalya. The articles provide original details of the circles' orphans, traditions, and habits, as well as human relationships, food, marriage, art and lifestyle. When taken into account that Tevfik Macid lived in the last period of the Ottoman State and in the early years of the Republic, in the transition period from Ottoman to the Republic, the work on the cultural life of the Yörük in Antalya, which hosts the intense Yörük population in Turkey, is important in the name of the Yörük and Yörük culture. In this study, a transcription of the articles collected with the Ottoman paleography was made, and then the qualitative research methods with the document analysis remained as faithful as possible to the originalities.
