Bu çalışmanın amacı ilki 1998 yılında olmak üzere, 2014, 2016, 2018 ve 2020 yıllarında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Denizcilik Fakültesi ile İşletme Fakültesi Turizm İşletmeciliği Bölümü ve Reha Midilli Foça Turizm Fakültesi (2016, 2018 ve 2020’de) iş birliği ile İzmir’de düzenlenen Ulusal Deniz Turizmi Sempozyumlarında sunulan ve bildiri kitaplarında yer alan çalışmaların genel profilini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma; 5 bildiri kitabında yer alan toplam 117 bildiriyi kapsamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda bildiriler; genel bilgiler, konu dağılımları, yazar özellikleri, kullanılan veri türü ve araştırma yöntemi gibi çeşitli değişkenler açısından bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları gelecek yıllarda devam edecek Ulusal Deniz Turizmi Sempozyumları ve benzeri etkinlikler ile deniz turizmi alanına yönelik yürütülen ve yürütülecek akademik çalışmalar açısından yol gösterici niteliktedir.
The main objective of this study was to analyze the general profile of the papers presented in the National Maritime Tourism Symposiums organized in Izmir in 1998, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020. The symposiums were organized in cooperation with 9th September University Maritime Faculty, Faculty of Business Department of Tourism Management and Reha Midilli Foça Tourism Faculty (in 2016, 2018 and 2020). The research consisted of 117 papers in 5 proceedings' books. Bibliometric analysis was performed in terms of various variables such as general information, subject distribution, author characteristics, data type and research method. The results of the research are expected to guide future academic studies in the field of marine tourism and similar activities that will continue in the coming years.
