Abstract:

Nematodes cause the damages to many plants directly by sucking plant sap or indirectly by transmitting of some viruses or by providing the some other plant disease agents to enter plant tissues from the root lesions. Especially, some nematode species belong to the families of Xiphinematidae, Longidoridae, Trichodoridae and Paratrichodoridae play important role as vectors of plant viruses. In this study, it was rewieved that the studies done related with the nematodes as vectors of virus diseases, the process of the acquisition, retention and release of viruses by virus-vector nematodes besides this utilizing of this knowledge in plant protection area.
