Bu çalışmada, alümina (Al2O3) takviyeli alüminyum esaslı toz metal kompozit malzemeler, korozyon dayanımını geliştirmek amacıyla iletken polimer polipirol (Ppy) ile kaplanmış ve yapılan kaplama işleminin kompozit malzemenin korozyon davranışına etkileri incelenmiştir. Toz metalürjisi yöntemi ile üretilen alüminyum esaslı kompozit malzemenin polipirol kaplama işlemi, elektrokimyasal yöntem ile potansiyel taraması uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Kaplamasız ve dört farklı sayıda potansiyel taraması yapılarak polipirol kaplanan alümina takviyeli alüminyum esaslı kompozit numunelere tuzlu ortamında potansiyodinamik yöntem ile elektrokimyasal korozyon testleri uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda,  alümina takviyeli alüminyum esaslı kompozit malzemenin uygun şartlar altında elektrokimyasal yöntem kullanılarak polipirol ile kaplanabildiği ve yapılan kaplamanın kompozit malzemenin korozyon dayanımını geliştirdiği belirlenmiştir.

Abstract:

In this study, aluminum (Al2O3) supplemented aluminum-based powder metal composite materials were covered with conductive polymer polypyrol (Ppy) in order to improve corrosion resistance and the effects of the made coating process on the corrosion behavior of the composite material were studied. The polypirol coating process of the aluminum-based composite material produced by the powder metallurgy method is done by applying potential scanning with the electrochemical method. Uncovered and four different numbers of potential scans are carried out to polypirol-covered aluminum supplementary aluminum-based composite samples with potential-dynamic methods in the salt environment, electrochemical corrosion tests are applied. The study found that the composite material based on aluminum supplementary aluminum could be covered with polypirol under appropriate conditions using the electrochemical method and that the made cover improved the corrosion resistance of the composite material.
