Kentleşmenin bir gereği olan ortak kullanım alanlarının toplumdaki tüm bireylerin kullanımına eşit ölçüde erişilebilir olması gerekliliği ve bu yönde mekâna aktarılan veya aktarılmaya çalışılan uygulamaların yetersizliği, kentteki yoğun kullanımların olduğu alanlarda daha fazla ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada önemli mekânların ve yoğun olarak kullanılan kamusal alanların bulunduğu noktalar üzerinde, engellilere yönelik düzenlemelerin önceliğinin daha net vurgulanması yönünde saptamalar ve değerlendirmeler ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmada Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesinde Aydınlar, Emek ve Kızılay mahalleleri örnek alan olarak seçilmiştir. Mahallerde yer alan dikkate değer güzergâhlarda, 2016 ve 2019 yıllarında yapılan görsel saptamalar, yüz yüze yapılan görüşmeler, belirlenen alanların engelli kullanımına yönelik durumları ve belirlenen ölçütlerin puanlanması ışığında uygunluk sırasına göre ortaya konulmuştur.
The need for the common use areas, which are a must of urbanization, to be equally accessible to the use of all individuals in society and the lack of practices that are transferred to or attempted to be transferred in this direction, is more advanced in areas where the intense use in the city. In this context, on the points where important spaces and public spaces are widely used in the study, the priority of the regulations for persons with disabilities has been clearly emphasized and evaluated. In the study, in Ankara or Çankaya district, Aydinlar, Emek and Reday neighborhoods were selected as an example area. In the notable routes located in the neighborhoods, the visual findings made in 2016 and 2019 have been revealed according to the suitability order in light of face-to-face conversations, the conditions for disabled use of the specified areas and the rating of the specified standards.

In this context, definitions and evaluations were put forward on the points where important spaces and heavily used public spaces are located in order to emphasize the priority of the regulations for the disabled more clearly. In the study, Aydınlar, Emek and Kızılay neighborhoods were selected as an example area in Çankaya district of Ankara province. Situated in the remarkable routes, visual observations made in 2016 and 2019, meetings, and specified the conditions for use of the designated area of the disabled in the light of the scoring criteria were placed in order of suitability.
