Bu çalışmanın amacı Nuaym b. Mes‘ûd’un hayatının ve şahsiyetinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaca bağlı olarak araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, veriler doküman inceleme tekniği ile elde edilmiş, elde edilen verilerin betimsel olarak analizi yapılmıştır. Yaptığımız analiz sonucunda Gatafan kabilesinin Eşca’ koluna mensup olan Nuaym b. Mes‘ûd’un hayatı ve şahsiyetiyle ilgili aşağıdaki tespitlere ulaşılmıştır. Nuaym b. Mes‘ûd, Hendek Gazvesi’nde savaşın seyrini Müslümanlar lehine değiştirmiştir. O, Hendek Gazvesi’nde Benî Kurayza ile müttefik ordusu arasındaki antlaşmayı, yaptığı başarılı diplomatik girişimleriyle bozmuş ayrıca Müslüman olmadan önce ve sonraki hayatında önemli icraatlar gerçekleştirmiştir. Karede Seriyyesi öncesi farkında olmadan verdiği bir bilgiyle Müslümanların galip gelmesine sebep olmuştur. Bedrü’l-Mev‘îd Gazvesi’nden önce Ebû Süfyân tarafından özel görevle Müslümanların savaşa çıkmasını önlemek amacıyla görevlendirilmiştir. Benî Nadîr kabilesinin Medine’den sürülmesi aşamasında Benî Nadîr lehine söylediği sözlerin de tarihî açıdan önemli olduğu muhakkaktır. Nuaym b. Mes‘ûd, Hendek Gazvesi’nde Müslüman olmuş, hem Hendek Gazvesi’nde, hem de devam eden süreçte Hz. Peygamber’in önemli gazvelerinde görev almış, Hz. Peygamber Eşca’ kabilesiyle ilgili icraatlarını onun kanalıyla gerçekleştirmiştir. Vefatıyla ilgili farklı rivayetler olsa da, Hz. Osman döneminde vefat ettiğine dair nakledilen rivayetler daha isabetlidir. Âl-i İmrân 3/173 ve Nisâ 4/91. ayetlerin nüzul sebebinin Nuaym olduğu ifade edilmiştir. Kendisinden oğlu ve kızı kanalıyla nakledilen hadis rivayetleri vardır. Müslüman olmadan önceki kişilik yapısı menfaatler üzerine oturtulmuş, dinî-ahlâkî endişelerden uzak bir görüntü oluştururken, Müslüman olduktan sonraki tutum ve davranışlarında son derece sağlam karakterli bir Nuaym b. Mes‘ûd kişiliğiyle karşılaşılmaktadır.
The purpose of this study is to study the life and personality of Nuaym B. Mesûd. Depending on this purpose, the quality research method was used in the research, the data was obtained through the document review technique, the data obtained was imagistically analyzed. As a result of our analysis, the following findings were achieved about the life and personality of Nuaym b. Mes’ûd, who belongs to the Eşca’s arm of the Gatafan tribe. Noah was the one who changed the way of the war in the Hindu Gaza to the Muslims. He broke the treaty between Benî Kurayza and the allied army in Hendek Gazvesi, with his successful diplomatic efforts; he also performed important executions in his life before and after becoming a Muslim. It has been the cause of the Muslims to win with a knowledge that they did not know before. Before the Bedru’l-Mev’id Gazvesi, Abu Sufyan was commissioned with a special mission to prevent Muslims from going to war. It is clear that the words that I say to the people of Medina at the stage of the expulsion from Medina are also historically important. Noah was a Muslim in the Hindu Gazvesi, both in the Hindu Gazvesi and in the continuing process. The profeet’s mission was in the profeet’s mission, Hz. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made his executions on his tribe through his channel. Despite the distinction of his death, H. It is more famous for the people who died in the Ottoman period. 3/173 and Nisa 4/91. The Qur’an says that the Qur’an is the Qur’an. He and his son and daughter have been transmitted through the channel. The personality structure before being a Muslim is set on interests, creating a picture away from religious and moral concerns, while in his post-Muslim attitudes and behaviors he encounters a very solid character of a Nuaym b. Mes’ud personality.
The aim of this study is to examine the life and personality of Nuaym b. Mas‘ûd. Depending on this purpose, the qualitative research method was used in the research, data were obtained by document analysis technique, and descriptive analysis of the obtained data was made. As a result of our analysis, the followings have been established about the life and personality of Nuaym b. Mas‘ûd who was a member of the Ashca branch of the Gatafan tribe. Nuaym b. Mas‘ûd changed the course of the war in favor of the Muslims in the Battle of the Khandaq. He broke the agreement between the Banu Qurayza and the allied army in the Battle of the Khandaq with his successful diplomatic attempts; he also carried out important actions in his life before and after he became a Muslim. He caused the Muslims to be victorious with the information he gave without being aware of it before the Sariyya in Qarede. Before the Battle of Bedru’l-Maw'îd, he was assigned by Abu Sufyan with a special mission to prevent Muslims from going to war. Certainly, the words he said in favor of Banu Nadir during the expulsion of the Banu Nadir tribe from Medina were also historically important. He became a Muslim in the Battle of the Khandaq. He took part in both the Battle of the Khandaq and the important battles of the Prophet Muhammad in the ongoing process, and the Prophet Muhammad carried out his actions regarding the Ashca tribe through him. Although there are different rumors about his death, the narrations that he died during Othman, the third Caliph, periods are more accurate. It has been stated that the reason for the revelation of Âl-i İmrân 3/173 and Nisâ 4/91 verses is Nuaym. There are hadith narrations transmitted from him through his son and daughter. While his personality structure before he became a Muslim was based on interests and created an image that was free from religious moral concerns, Nuaym b. Mas‘ûd personality with a very strong character was encountered in his attitudes and behaviors after becoming a Muslim.
