Stoic school is one of the most poignant schools in the history of philosophy. This school, which flourished in scientific world approximately six century, taught many philosophers like Zeno, Cleanthes, Chrysippus, Diogenes, Panaetius, Posidonius, Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. The basic issues discussed in Stoic school had many impact on both Islamic world and other scientific circles. For instance, we see that Islamic philosophers such as Farabi and Yahya b. Adiy knew the Stoic philosophy and benefited from it in the fields of logic, ethics and law. In this study, influences of Stoic philosophy on Islamic thinkers in certain fields are scrutinized.
