Öğretmenlerin Mesleklerinin İlk Yıllarında Sınıf Yönetiminde Yaşadıkları Sorunlara İlişkin Görüşlerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Bu çalışma öğretmenlerin mesleklerinin ilk yıllarında sınıf yönetimine ilişkin yaşadıkları zorluklar, tecrübeler ile göreve yeni başlayan öğretmen adaylarına yönelik önerileri alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla 2016-2017 eğitim ve öğretim yılında, Mardin –Artuklu ilçesinde, farklı kademe, okul türü ve branştan amaçlı örnekleme tekniklerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi tekniği ile belirlenen 64 öğretmen ile çalışma grubu oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenlere veri toplama formaları dağıtılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutu-larak, bulgular tema, alt tema/görüş ve frekanslarla birlikte tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Çalışma bulguları incelendiğinde öğretmenlerin sınıf yönetiminde genel olarak öğretmen yeterlilik/özelliklerinden kaynaklı (öğrenci dikkat-inin canlı tutulması, öğretmen alan yetersizliği...) öğrencil-erden kaynaklı (öğrencilerin derse hazırlıksız gelmesi, öğrenci hazırbulunuşluk durumları, belirlenen kuralların ihlal edilmesi...), velilerden kaynaklı (sosyal ve kültürel farklılıklar, veli tutumları), mekandan kaynaklı (fiziki şartların yetersizliği, sınıfların kalabalık olması) hususlarda sorun yaşadıkları görülmüştür. Göreve yeni başlayan öğretmenlere yönelik öneriler ise öğretmen yeterliliklerinin geliştirilmesi, uygun sınıf ikliminin oluşturulması, farklı yöntem-teknik kullanımı ve mekanın düzenlenmesi hu-suslarında olduğu görülmüştür.

Evaluation of teachers' opinions on the problems they experience in class management in the first years of their profession

Abstract:

This study was aimed at taking the challenges that teachers experienced in the first years of their profession in relation to class management, experience and recommendations for newly beginning teachers candidates. For this purpose, in the 2016-2017 educational and teaching year, a work group with 64 teachers was established in the Mardin-Artuklu district, determined by the maximum variety of sampling techniques for different degrees, school type and industry purposes. The teachers who participated in the study were gathered by distributing data collection forms. The obtained data is presented in tables with content analysis, findings, themes, sub-themes/visions and frequencies. When the study findings are examined, teachers in class management generally experience problems in facts arising from the teachers’ qualifications/properties (student attention, teacher area deficiency...) from the students (student unprepared, student preparation conditions, violation of the established rules...), from the parents (social and cultural differences, parent attitudes), from the place (physical conditions deficiency, the crowd of classes). Recommendations for newly beginners of the job have been seen in the development of teachers’ qualifications, the creation of a suitable class climate, the use of different methods and techniques and the arrangement of the space.

The purpose of this study is; In the first years of the pro-fessions' professions, they tried to get suggestions about the difficulties they experienced about classroom management, their experiences and the prospective teachers. For this purpose, In the 2016-2017 academic year, a working group was formed with 64 teachers in Mardin -Artuklu, which was determined by the maximum diversity sampling technique from different stage, school type and branch sampling tech-niques.Data were collected by distributing semi-structured interview forms. The data were subjected to content analysis and the findings were; The theme is presented in tables with sub-theme / views and frequencies. When the findings of the study are examined, it is mainly caused by the teacher qua-lifications / characteristics of the teachers in class manage-ment (keeping the attention of the students alive, lack of teachers in the field ...) It was observed that they had prob-lems due to parents (social and cultural differences, parent attitudes), location (lack of physical conditions, crowded classes). Suggestions for newly recruited teachers were the development of teacher qualifications, creation of approp-riate classroom climate, different methods-techniques, and the organization of space.
