Abstract:

This article was prepared on the basis of a master's thesis called A Study on the Life and Works of the Composer Tahir Karagöz, which was made in 2011. In this article prepared with archive scan and personal conversation methods, the student of Sadettin Kaynak and Rakım Elkutlu, who is one of the last representatives of the religious music and classical music tradition, bestekâr Tahir Karagöz's (e.g. 1994, his life and works are discussed. In the first part of this study, the life and family of Tahir Karagöz will be informed, in the second part, the educational-educational life, the social environment and students, in the third part, the official duties and in the fourth part, the works of the master will be informed. The result will be a general assessment of the place of the food in our musical culture history. There will be examples of the compositions of Tahir Karagöz which are unknown. Thus, this work will have contributed to the introduction of a food that has left significant traces in our musical history more closely to today’s man.
