Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the attitudes of childbirth of mothers with pre-school child and the perceptions of self-capacity. Relational scan method was used in the research. 236 mothers participated in the study, which can be reached online through the appropriate sampling method. The personal information form is used in the data collection, the Updated Berkeley Parental Self-Compliance Scale (YBEYÖ) and the Parental Attitude Scale (USA) Form A. The analysis of data used visual statistics, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA), Mann Whitney-U test, Kruskall Wallis H test and Spearman Brown Correlation ratio. According to the study, there is a negative and low-level relationship between YBEYÖ’s parental strategies and the low-dimensional points that can be awarded to the child and the low-dimensional points of the EU’s Democratic Attitude at the positive middle level, and the low-dimensional points of the oppressive and authorized Attitude at the negative level. There is no meaningful difference between the child’s gender and the ABTÖ points while the child’s continuation to school and the ABTÖ Democratic Attitude sub-dimensional points, the child’s birth order, the mother’s educational status and the ABTÖ Democratic Attitude and the oppressive-autoritary Attitude sub-dimensional points have been found meaningful. The difference between the age of the mother and the sub-dimensional points of ultra tolerant attitude, the difference between the mother's profession and the democratic attitude of the mother, the oppressive-autoritary attitude and the ultra tolerant attitude, has been found meaningful.
