The article dedicated to the 1300th anniversary of the Bilga Tonyukuk monument explores the historical-linguistic relations between the Orkhun monuments and Azerbaijan. In order to obtain certain scientific results, the author made a comparative analysis of archeological data with the ancient Turkish written monuments of Orkhon, "The Book of Dadam Qorqud", "Divani-Lugat it- Turk" by Mahmud of Kashgar. It was concluded that there are similarities between the information described in the Orkhon monuments and some of the information described in the all-Turkic monument "The Book of Dadam Qorqud", which is considered to be the homeland of Azerbaijan. It is also known that some stones and pottery found in Azerbaijan were engraved with symbols of the Orkhon alphabet. There are also many signs among the patterns of Azerbaijani carpets looking for the letters of the Orkhon alphabet. Along with all this, the inscriptions engraved on the stones included in the monuments of Orkhon are an invaluable source for studying the history of the Azerbaijani language. By comparative analysis of archeological, ethnographic, linguistic and historical materials, it is possible to conclude that despite the long distance between the monuments of Azerbaijan and Orkhon, there are inseparable ties between them, which have deep roots. Although the history of these gardens dates back to ancient times, it became stronger and inseparable with the arrival of the Oghuzs in Azerbaijan. This made Azerbaijan an integral part of the Turkic world and the center of Turkish geography.
