Voting behaviours are explained with sociological, psychological and rational choice models. Sociological approach claims that voting behaviour essentially determined by decomposition of society and disparity while psychological approach claims that perception, pressure and dependence are important facts for voter’s behaviour. In rational choice approach, voters behave towards their benefits in election. In study, it is aimed to identify which factors were influence on the voting behaviours for 2014 local elections in Zonguldak. A questionnaire technique is preferred to obtain data. In research findings it is established that voting behaviour mostly corresponding to rational choice approach while sociological approach is not effective for voter preferencess
