Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relatives of an autistic child in the pre-school coaching class. In the framework of partnership relationships, we have studied fellow acceptance, rejection and harassment behaviors in the classroom, the definitions of children with normal development regarding the autistic child and the social position of the autistic child in the classroom. The study included 1 child with autism and 21 child with normal development, who continued to the coaching class in a pre-school institution in Adana or Heart District. In this study, which is conducted as a situation research from quality approaches, the method of data collection is used as conversation (sociometry, graphic-telling application) and observation. Analysis of data is implemented. The research finds that although autistic child’s companion acceptance behavior is quite intense, companion’s rejection and harassment behaviors are also seen intense. Oral violence is not observed at the beginning of the period in autistic children, but is applied by children with normal development from the first month. It is found that children with normal development develop prosocial behaviors during the process. It has been revealed that children with normal development think that the child with autism is younger than they are. A child with autism is included in the category of excluded children.
