The study was conducted to examine the relationship between the humor styles and personality traits of health college students. This descriptive study, in the 2018-2019 academic year, was conducted in a university's Health Sciences in the east of Turkey. The universe of the study was composed of all students studying at school, and 212 students studying in the nursing department were included in the study without choosing a sample from the population. The data were collected using the sociodemographic information form, Humor Styles Scale, and Eysenck Personality Inventory. The analysis of the data was made with descriptive statistics and correlation analysis in SPSS 22.0 package program, and p <0.05 was taken. The mean scores of the students from the Eysenck Personality Inventory sub-dimensions were 3.56 ± 1.96, lying 3.74 ± 1.66, neuroticism 3.46 ± 1.65, psychoticism 1.49 ± 1.20, respectively. . Mean scores from the sub-dimensions of the Humor Style Scale were determined to be aggressive 22.05 ± 8.18, participant 39.26 ± 8.69, self-destructive 25.97 ± 8.32, and self-improving 36.02 ± 8.74 points. Both positive and negative significant relationships were found between the students' Eysenck Personality Inventory and Humor Styles Scale mean scores. According to these findings, it was concluded that as the use of positive humor increases in students, the positive personality structure increases, and the negative personality structure increases in the use of negative humor. It is recommended to take initiatives that will positively affect students' humor and personality development.
