Araştırmanın amacı, “Ortaokul Seçmeli Hukuk ve Adalet” dersi alacak 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin hukuk ve adalet kavramlarına yükledikleri anlamları incelemektir. Bunun için temel yorumlayıcı nitel araştırma deseninden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmaya Sakarya kentinde yer alan MEB’e bağlı resmi bir ortaokulun 8. sınıfındaki 13 öğrenci (8 kız, 5 erkek) katılmıştır. Çalışma grubu ölçüt durum örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla çalışma grubu ilk kez “Ortaokul Seçmeli Hukuk ve Adalet” dersi alacak öğrenciler arasından seçilmiştir. Veriler, 2019/2020 eğitim-öğretim yılının 1. döneminde toplanmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ve dokümanlar (sembol içeren çizimler) kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler üzerinde betimsel yorumlayıcı analiz yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizi sonucunda öğrencilerin, hukuk kavramına, kanun adamlarının, kanunlar çerçevesinde eşit bir şekilde karar vermesi adalet kavramına, bir otoritenin adil olma, yardımlaşma ve merhamet gibi kimi değerleri gözeterek yargılama yapması şeklinde anlamlar yükledikleri saptanmıştır.
The purpose of the study is to explore the meanings that students of 8th grade who will take the "Middle School Selective Law and Justice" course are put on to the concepts of law and justice. For this purpose, the basic interpretative quality research pattern has been used. The study included 13 students (8 girls, 5 men) from the 8th grade of an official high school associated with MEB located in Sakarya. The work group is determined according to the sample method. For this purpose, the working group was chosen among students who will take the "Middle School Selective Law and Justice" course for the first time. The data was collected in the first period of the 2019/2020 educational year. Data collection tools are used; semi-configured conversations and documents (games containing symbols). Imaginary interpretative analysis of the collected data has been made. As a result of the analysis of the data, the students have found that the concept of law, the lawmakers, the lawmakers, the concept of justice, the authority, the judgment, and the observation of some values, such as being fair, help and mercy, are based on the meaning of the lawmakers, the lawmakers, the lawmakers, the lawmakers, the lawmakers, the lawmakers, and the lawmakers.
The aim of the research is to investigate the meanings attributed to the concepts of law and justice by the 8th grade students who will take the course of ‘Secondary School Elective Law and Justice’. For this purpose, basic interpretative qualitative research design was used. 13 students from the 8th grade of a secondary school affiliated to MEB, located in Sakarya, participated in the study. Study group were determined according to the criterion of the case sampling method. For this purpose, the study group was chosen among the students who will take the Secondary Elective Law and Justice course for the first time. Data were collected in the first semester of 2019/2020 academic year. Semi-structured interview and documents were used as data collection tools. Descriptive interpretative analyses were performed on the collected data. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was determined that the students attribute the following meaning to the concept of law: judiciary makes equal decisions within the framework of laws. The students attribute the following meaning to the concept of justice: an authority makes judgment, taking into account certain values such as fairness, cooperation and compassion.
