Abstract:

This study aims to study the graduate thesis studies in Turkey on "Peaceful City" (Cittaslow) between 2010 and 2019. The universe of the research consists of all the theses in the national database www.tez.yok.gov.tr, which are achieved by writing the keywords "Peace/Peace City", "Peace/Peace City", "Cittaslow" and "Slow City" and written between 2010 and 2019. The sample consists of a total of 82 theses (graduate degree and doctorate) written and accessible in Turkey that comply with the standards specified in the study. Graduate theses are studied by content analysis method taking into account the type, year they publish, university, institutes, disciplines of science, subject area, the city they study and the research method. The collected data is transferred to the Excel environment, then the analyses are completed and the frequency and percentages are calculated. According to the research, the majority of the theses made on the peaceful city are master theses, the academic interest in the subject has increased over the years and the most theses were written in 2019, the most theses were written at the Architectural Sinan University of Fine Arts, the written theses were mainly studied at the Institute of Social Sciences and the field of tourism anatomy. It has been found that the theses written about a quiet city are most related to the concept of sustainability/sustainable city and that the theses are often treated as a sample of Seferihisar. In the theses the most field research and scan research were used.
