Müzik eğitimi, çocukların ve geçlerin müzikal potansiyellerinin geliştirilmesi yoluyla onlara kendilerini müzikal olarak ifade edebilme, yeteneklerini keşfetme, yaratıcı potansiyellerini geliştirme ve estetik özellikler kazanma olanağı sağlar. Müzik eğitimini yürütecek olan öğretmen adaylarının müzikal ilgi düzeyleri, müzik eğitiminin bu olanaklarını ileriki mesleki yaşamlarında öğrencileri üzerinde gerçekleştirebileceklerinin bir ipucu kabul edilebilir. Müzik öğretmeni adaylarına yönelik Bilen tarafından geliştirilmiş ve açımlayıcı faktör analizi ile test edilmiş olan müzikal ilgi ölçeğinin, yeni bir araştırma grubu ile revize edilmesini amaçlayan bu araştırma, çeşitli üniversitelerin eğitim fakülteleri müzik eğitimi anabilim dallarında 2016-2017 öğretim yılında öğrenim görmüş olan 660 müzik öğretmeni adayıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Beşli likert tipi olan ölçek 11 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Ölçek maddeleri yorum ve öğretim, müzik-sanat dalları entegrasyonu, seslendirme ve keşif olarak adlandırılan üç faktörde toplanmıştır. Maddelerin faktör yükleri 0,441 ile 0,988 arasında değişmektedir. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi için, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin örneklem yeterliği değeri 0,846, Bartlett küresellik testinde x2= 2825,224, serbestlik derecesi ise 253 bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin tamamının açıkladığı toplam variyans 52,20’dir. Faktörlerin Cronbach-Alpha katsayıları 1. faktör için .76, 2. faktör için .77 ve 3. faktör için .73 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeğin tümüne ilişkin Cronbach-Alpha iç tutarlılık katsayısı ise .78’dir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre; ki kare 85.85, serbestlik derecesi 40, RMSEA .070, CFI .92 ve GFI .94 olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bu değerler modelin kabul edilebilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırmanın, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının müzikal ilgi düzeylerinin betimlenmesi yoluyla, müziğe ve müzik eğitimine ilişkin ilgiyi artıracak eğitim düzenlemelerini de kapsayan yeni araştırmalara kaynak olabileceği umulmaktadır.
Music education gives them the opportunity to express themselves musically through the development of the musical potential of children and young people, to explore their abilities, to develop their creative potential, and to gain aesthetic qualities. The musical interest levels of teachers candidates to conduct music education can be considered a clue that music education will be able to realize these opportunities on their students in their future professional lives. This research, aimed at revision of the musical scale of interest, which was developed by Bilen and tested with a reflective factor analysis for music teachers candidates, with a new research group, was carried out with 660 music teachers candidates who studied in the 2016-2017 academic year in the music education faculty of various universities. In the analysis of the data is used the analytical and verifying factor analysis. The scale of five types of liquor consists of 11 substances. The scale materials are gathered in three factors called comment and teaching, music-art branches integration, sounding and discovery. The factor load of the substances varies between 0.441 and 0.988. For the opening factor analysis, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin sample sufficiency value was 0.846, and the Bartlett globality test was x2=2825,224, and the freedom rate was 253. The total variance revealed by the entire scale is 52.20. The Cronbach-Alpha ratings of factors are calculated as .76 for factor 1 and .77 for factor 2 and .73 for factor 3. The Cronbach-Alpha internal consistency ratio for the whole measurement is .78. According to the results of the verifying factor analysis; that square was determined as 85.85, freedom grade 40, RMSEA .070, CFI .92 and GFI .94. These achieved values indicate that the model is acceptable. The research is expected to be a source of new research that will also include educational arrangements that will increase interest in music and music education through the illustration of the musical interest levels of the music teacher candidates.
Music education provides children and teenagers opportunities for expressing themselves musically, discovering their abilities, developing their creative potentials and gaining aesthetical features by developing their musical potentials. Musical interest levels of teacher candidates who will be carrying out the music education could be accepted as a clue that they may use these opportunities of music education over students in their forthcoming vocational lives. This study, aiming the revision of the scale of musical interest, which has been developed by Bilen for music teacher candidates and tested by exploratory factor analysis, has been performed with 660 music teacher candidates who were students of education faculty of various universities in 2016-2017 academic year. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis has been used for the analysis of data. The scale, which is a five point Likert Type, consists of 11 items. These 11 items of the scale has been grouped into three factors, namely, interpretation and education, integration of music-art branches, and vocalization and discovery. The factor worth of the items changes from 0.441 to 0.988. For the exploratory factor analysis, the Kaiser-Meyer Olkin sample adequacy value has been found as 0.846, x2 as 2825.224 in Bartlett Sphericity test, and degree of freedom as 253. Total variance of the whole scale is 52.2. Cronbach-Alpha coefficients of the groups are 0.76, 0.77 and 0.73 for the first, second and third factors, respectively. Cronbach-Alpha internal consistency coefficient is 0.78 for the whole scale. χ2 has been found as 85.58, degree of freedom as 40, RMSEA as 0.07, CFI as 0.92 and GFI as 0.94, according to the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. These values demonstrate the acceptability of the model.
