Abstract:

Participating banks operating in Turkey perform their banking services to their customers in accordance with the principles of Islamic economy and finance. The first places that customers want to get information about their savings on interest-free investment instruments are often the branches of participating banks. Therefore, the participating banks, in particular the branch staff addressing customers, must have sufficient knowledge and equipment in terms of the Islamic economy and finance. This study aims to identify whether the Islamic economy and financial training given to the branch employees has an impact on the branch performance and which of the educational methods used is more efficient. First, participating banking branch staff working in Islamic economy and finance training was given in class method. Secondly, the method of distance learning was used through virtual classes. Thirdly, the VR application was developed and the virtual reality method was trained. Following the training by three different methods, the findings obtained by making an analysis of effects and results were compared. In the framework of the outgoing results, the participating banking staff was identified using the VIKOR research method which has contributed more to the performance of the branch for Islamic economy and financial training. According to the findings obtained from this study, the Islamic Economy and Finance training given to employees of participating banks has been found to have a positive impact on the individual performance of the branch and the best methods in terms of performance efficiency are the training provided in virtual reality and distance learning environments.
