Abstract:

In this study, it was aimed to examine the leisure motivation factors and leisure satisfaction levels in recreational participation in sports facilities. The universe of the research includes individuals who attend sports centers for recreational exercise. The sample of the study consisted of individuals who attended sports centers in Istanbul for recreational exercise. The questionnaire form was reached to 275 people in total through Google Forms, and 16 questionnaires that were found to be missing or incorrect were excluded from the analysis. 259 questionnaires were found suitable for analysis. The questionnaire used to collect the relevant data in the study consisted of three parts. The personal information form created by the researcher in the first part, the Leisure Motivation Scale “LMS” in the second part, and the Leisure Time Satisfaction (Satisfaction) Scale “LSS” in the third part were included. The obtained data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 package program. In the study, it is seen that there is a significant and positive relationship between Leisure Motivation and Leisure Time Satisfaction (p<0.01). As a result of the regression analysis conducted to examine the leisure motivation factors and leisure time satisfaction levels in recreational participation in sports facilities, it was concluded that leisure motivation factors increase leisure satisfaction. As a result of the research, it is seen that the Leisure Time Motivation levels of the Participants are at a good level and their Leisure Time Satisfaction levels are high.
