Bu çalışmanın amacı, TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarında yer alan matematik projelerine yönelik matematik projelerinde görevli öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Çalışma 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılının 2. döneminde TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarı düzenlenmiş bir ortaokulun matematik projelerinde görevli öğretmen ve öğrenciler ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada amaçlı örnekleme yaklaşımı yoluyla TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarında yer alan 3 ayrı matematik projesinde görevli olan 3 öğretmen ve 9 öğrenci seçilmiştir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim (fenomenoloji) deseninde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada veri toplamak için araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmış ve içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda öğrenciler tarafından TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarında yer alan matematik projeleri için olumlu tutum ve beceriler kazandıkları görüş belirtildiği, öğretmenler tarafından ise öğrencilere birçok katkısı olmasının yanında ekonomik olarak yetersiz olduğu, tekrar katılmak istenmediği ve iyileştirmelerin yapılması gerektiği gibi görüşler ifade edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarında yer alan matematik projelerine yönelik öğrenci ve öğretmen görüşleri tartışılmış ve çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to identify the teachers and students who are responsible for mathematical projects for mathematical projects in the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Fair. The study was conducted in the 2nd period of the 2021-2022 educational year with teachers and students responsible for the mathematics projects of a high school organized by the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Fair. Three teachers and nine students, who are responsible for 3 separate mathematical projects in the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Exhibition, have been selected through the study-purpose sampling approach. The research has been conducted in the phenomenology (fenomenology) pattern of the methods of research. In the study, the semi-configured conversation form developed by researchers to collect data was used and evaluated by content analysis. According to the results obtained by students in the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Exhibition, the opinion that they gained positive attitudes and skills for the mathematical projects included in the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Exhibition, the opinion that the teachers have made many contributions to the students is economically insufficient, that they do not want to participate again and that improvements should be done. At the end of the study, the students and teachers’ opinions on the mathematical projects presented at the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Exhibition were discussed and solutions proposals were presented.
The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of teachers and students working on mathematics projects in TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair. The study was carried out with teachers and students working in the mathematics projects of a secondary school where TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair was held in the second term of the 2021-2022 academic year. In the study, 3 teachers and 9 students who were involved in 3 different mathematics projects in the TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair were selected through the purposive sampling approach. The research was carried out in the phenomenology pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. In the study, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used to collect data and evaluated with content analysis. In line with the results obtained, it was stated by the students that they gained positive attitudes and skills for the mathematics projects in the TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair, and the teachers expressed opinions that besides having many contributions to the students, they are economically insufficient, they do not want to participate again, and that improvements should be made. At the end of the study, the opinions of students and teachers about the mathematics projects in the TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair were discussed and solution suggestions were presented.
