INTRODUCTION: The objective of this study is to provide validity and reliability of the "Simulation-Based Learning Evaluation Scale" which evaluates the simulation-based learning experience from a student perspective. METHODS: The research data were collected from 185 students studying at the Nursing Department of a private university in Istanbul in September 2016. The scale consists of 5 subscale (nursing process, patient safety, professional information, communication and reflective behavior) and 37 items. Language equivalence was performed by using back-translation method, content validity by referring to expert opinion and construct validity by using Explanatory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Cronbach Alpha analysis was used for internal consistency analysis and Pearson correlation analysis was used for item total score correlation. Intraclass Correlation Coefficient was used for the retest reliability. RESULTS: At the validity and reliability stage of the scale, Content Validity Index was determined as 0.890 as a result of expert opinions. Total Cronbach Alpha of the scale was 0.957 and Cronbach Alpha values of the subscales - ranged between 0.770 and 0.903. ICC values of the subscale scores ranged from 0.511 to 0.800. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Simulation-Based Learning Assessment Scale was determined that the scope of the research is a valid and reliable tool in Turkey.
