Özet:

Aim: In this study, four newspapers with the highest reading dated September 15, 2017; it was aimed to assessed 2017 were aimed to assess the news about obesity in newspapers accessible from the internet published in the last year. Methods: The universe of this descriptive study was the newspaper news of the four highest-circulation journalists dated September 15, 2017, accessible from the internet between September 15, 2016 and September 15, 2017. The data were collected via the data collection form prepared by the researchers and evaluated by SPSS computer software. Findings: It was found that 58.7% of the news were informative, 97.2% had pictures/graphics and colored, 87.2% had advertising elements, 50.3% were cited for the content of the article, and 54. 7% and there was no evidence of nursing in the development of health. Conclusion: The need for more scientific news is needed to inform the community that obesity headline news is for current status/informative purposes, newspaper news is interview-oriented and contains a recreational element and information that does not mention its source is heavier.
