Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının küresel köy kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının belirlenmeye çalışıldığı bu araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan olgubilim deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar dönemi Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 220 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının küresel köy kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarını belirlemek amacıyla, “küresel köy …………. ya/ye benzer, çünkü …………” ifadesinin yer aldığı bir formdan yararlanılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının küresel köy kavramına ilişkin 149 metafor geliştirdikleri ve bu metaforların 9 kavramsal kategoride yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Farklı üniversitelerde ve farklı bölümlerde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının küresel köy kavramına ilişkin algıları metaforlar aracılığıyla belirlenebilir.

Abstract:

This study, aiming to determine the metaphoric perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates regarding the global village concept, was conducted with the phenomenological design, which is one of qualitative research designs. The sample group of the study consisted of a total of 220 teacher candidates receiving education in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Fırat University Faculty of Education Department of Social Studies Education during the spring term of the 2019-2020 academic year. A form including the statement “a global village is like a …………. because …………” was used in order to determine the metaphoric perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates regarding the global village concept. It was determined that the teacher candidates developed 149 metaphors regarding the global village concept and these metaphors were involved in 9 conceptual categories. It is possible to determine the perceptions of teacher candidates, from different universities and different departments, regarding the global village concept via metaphors.
