Bu makalede, günümüzde bir yaşam felsefesi olarak kabul edilen minimalizmin reklam sektörü tarafından sanatsal bir forma büründürülerek nasıl araçsallaştırıldığını göstermek amaçlanmıştır. Günlük hayatta rastlanan pek çok şeyin ekonomiye, piyasaya, sektöre endeksli hale gelmesi birçok düşünceyi, inancı, olguyu, olayı temelinden değişikliğe uğratmıştır. Minimalizm, ilk olarak sanatsal bir tarz olarak ortaya çıksa da günümüzde bir yaşam felsefesi haline gelmiştir. Kuşatıcı manada her türlü bolluğa karşı olan ve azlığın aslında çokluk olduğunu ifade eden minimalizm düşüncesi, sanat vasıtasıyla araçsallaştırılmış ve günümüzde karşısında durduğu bolluk ve çokluğun bir yardımcı unsuru haline gelmiştir. Bu makalede, minimalizmin bu süreçteki dönüşümü, reklamın, minimalist sanat biçimini kendi hakimiyeti altına nasıl ve ne şekilde aldığı üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu amaç ekseninde, günümüzde minimalist fotoğrafı reklamın bir yardımcı unsuru haline getiren küresel markaların minimalist bir anlayışla tasarladığı muhtelif promosyon ürünleri incelenmiş ve analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizlerin sonucunda ise minimalist sanatın, reklam ile olan ilişkisi ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract:

This article aims to show how minimalism, accepted as a philosophy of life today, has been instrumentalized by the advertising industry in an artistic form. Many things we encounter in daily life become indexed to the economy, the market, and the sector has fundamentally changed many thoughts, beliefs, facts, and events. Although minimalism first emerged as an artistic style, it has become a philosophy of life today. The idea of minimalism, which is against all kinds of abundance in an encompassing sense and expresses that simplicity is actually abundance, has been instrumentalized through art and has become an additional element of the abundance and multiplicity it stands against today. This article discussed the transformation of minimalism in this process and how advertising took the minimalist art form under its domination. In line with this purpose, various promotional products designed by global brands with a minimalist approach, which make minimalist photography an extra element of advertising today, have been examined and analyzed. As a result of these analyzes, it was tried to reveal the relationship between minimalist art and advertising.
