Abstract:

Introduction and Purpose: Assessment of visual anatomical results and complications of the decemet membrane endotelial keratoplasty (Triple DMEK) combined with the use of cornea endotel dysfunction and eye lens in cases with cataracts. Method and Requirements: between January 2014-July 2018 the eye of 32 patients with triple DMEK surgery in the Eye Disease Clinic of Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Education and Research Hospital was considered backward. Before and after the surgery, 1, 3, 6 and 12. Corrected best vision accuracy (DEIGK) in the moon, endotel cell number (EHS), central corneal thickness (SKK), average refractive spheric equivalents (SE), frequency and complications of re-airing (THV) were evaluated. SKK fell from 696 ± 99 μm before surgery, 518 ± 42 μm in the sixth month after surgery, to 517 ± 35 μm at the end of the 12th month (p<0.05). The average refractive SE pre-operation is -0.57±0.69 D (n=21), while the sixth month is +0.47±0. 65 D (n=31) was measured as 0.48±0.67 D (n=27) at the end of the 12th month. In the second twelve months, 82% of patients were diagnosed with an average spheric equivalent of 1D or below. In our study, 7 eyes 1 time (17.9%) and 2 eyes 2 times (5.12%) THV process was performed. Greft failure developed in 7 eyes 6 again DMEK, 1 in the eye penetrating keratoplasty was made. TRIPLE and RESULTS: Triple DMEK surgery, low risk of red reaction, predictable refractive results, the advantages of closed system surgery and the negligible low levels of corneal sclerosis complications, low dose steroid therapy is sufficient, we think it is among the top of the treatment options in cases where it has been cataracts along with cornea endotel dysfunction.
