AbstractDetermination the Variables that Predicting the Professional Attitudes of NursesObjectives: In this study, it was aimed to determine the variables that predict the professional attitudes of nurses. Methods: The sample of this descriptive and cross-sectional research consisted of 271 nurses working in a university hospital in the Aegean region and volunteering to participate in the research. The data of the research was collected with “Identifying Information Form for Nurses” and “inventory of professional attitude at occupation”. Numbers, percentage, mean and standard deviation, Kolmogorov Smirnov test, t test, one-way ANOVA, regression analysis, Posthoc Tukeys HSD analyzes were used in the evaluation of the data. Results:The mean Inventory of Professional Attitude at Occupationscore of nurses were found 138.33 ± 11.36 (Min:32-Max:160) which is a good level. At the result of multivariate linea r regression analysis conducted in the study, it was concluded that professional experience, thinking of being a professional and following professional publications were variables that significantly predicted professional attitudes of nurses (r = .44, R2 = .19, p < .001). Conclusion: At the consequence of research it was found that three variables which predicting the professional attitudes of nurses explained 19% of model. In the line with these results, it is suggested that studies on other variables that can predict the professional attitudes of the nurses in the profession and support the motivation of the nurses to access the information
