Abstract:

The Persian Empire is a rooted civilization that has been on the stage of history for many years. In the 6th century BC, the empire founded had a wide sphere of sovereignty, including Asia, Anatolia, Egypt and Cyprus. Thanks to his tolerance policy in the regions he was able to maintain his political existence for many years. Like all the empires in history, this powerful state will first weaken and then be destroyed. The back bone of our work will form the process of the destruction of the imperium. In our work, which will begin with a brief analysis of the political stages of the Persian Empire, the political, economic and social causes that led the empire to collapse will be explained in the light of domestic and foreign sources. At the end of the study, the importance of the Persian Empire in the primitive history, its role in the east-west cultural synthesis, the traces that the Empire left behind will be assessed. It will also be explained how the great Alexander, who ended this powerful empire, was defeated by the Persians, and the developments that occurred after the destroyed empire.
