: Brief Summary Non-rapid eye movement (NREM) parasomnias are relatively common among children and can often persist into adulthood, where they can pose as a clinical challenge:, the behaviors can result in injury or have negative impacts on functioning and quality of life, thus necessitating treatment, but the choice of treatment is complicated by the lack of evidence—based guidelines, as well as potential side effects.
