Abstract:

Pankreatic metastases are quite common in advanced lung cancer, but acute pancreatitis caused by metastases is very rare. In this article, we presented an acute pancreatitis phenomenon that is triggered by the pancreatic metastasis of small-cellular lung carcinoma. Seventy-four-year-old male patient appealed to our hospital with severe stomach pain and nausea that lasted for 24 hours. For 40 years, there have been 25 cigarettes per day. There was no history of alcohol use or cholestectomy. Pancreatic enzymes and bilirubin levels were high. Radial endoscopic ultrasound showed a large number of pancreatic hypoecological masses. In Toraks BT, irregular limited masses of 70 mm and 20 mm, respectively, were observed in the mediastend and left lungs. From the mediastinal mass, the pancreatic mass and lymphadenopathy in the desert, biopsy was taken using linear endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at the same session. In the histopathological assessment, 3 biopsy materials were as small cell carcinoma. As a result, when faced with the symptoms of acute pancreatitis, which is small-cell lungs cancer, should be remembered that acute pancreatitis may be associated with pancreatic metastases, and these patients with pancreatic metastases should be treated effectively.
