Bu araştırmada ülkemizde yaşayan Suriyelilere karşı oluşan sosyal mesafe incelenmiş ve insanların sosyal mesafesi ile maneviyatları arasındaki ilişkide empati ve toplumsal baskınlığın aracı rolü değerlendirilmiştir. İç içe karma desenle yürütülen bu çalışmada, nicel veriler “birincil”, nitel veriler ise “ikincil” olarak belirlenmiştir. Nitel aşama nicel sonuçları daha zenginleştirmek ve desteklemek amacıyla kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel aşamasına Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi’nde lisans eğitimi görmekte olan ve basit seçkisiz yöntemle belirlenen 363 öğrenci katılmıştır. Katılımcılara Maneviyat Ölçeği, Empati Düzeyini Belirleme Ölçeği (EDBÖ), Sosyal Mesafe Ölçeği ve Toplumsal Baskınlık Yönelimi Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde yol analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, kurulan model doğrulanarak maneviyat değişkeninin, Suriyelilere yönelik sosyal mesafeyi empati ve toplumsal baskınlık aracı değişkenleri üzerinden anlamlı bir şekilde yordadığı bulgusu elde edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, aracı değişken olan empatinin sosyal mesafe üzerindeki etkisinin diğer aracı değişkene kıyasla düşük çıkması ve maneviyat değişkeninin aracı değişken empati iken sosyal mesafe üzerindeki etkisinin diğer aracı değişkene göre düşük çıkması, empati değişkeninin nitel olarak yeniden ele alınmasında etkili olmuştur. Araştırmanın nitel aşamasına, ölçüt örnekleme ile belirlenen hem maneviyat düzeyi hem de sosyal mesafe düzeyi yüksek, 4’ü kadın 2’si erkek, Türkiye’nin çeşitli üniversitelerinde okuyan 6 lisans öğrencisi katılmıştır. Katılımcılara empatik ilişki düzeylerini anlayabilmek üzere hazırlanmış açık uçlu görüşme soruları sorulmuştur. Nitel verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nitel bulgulara bakıldığında, katılımcıların empati düzeylerinin genel olarak düşük ya da yüksek olduğuna dair net bir durum söylenememekte, yol analizinin sunduğu doğrusal ilişkilerin daha karmaşık ve çok yönlü olabileceği sonucu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Nicel ve nitel bulgular birlikte tartışılmıştır.
This study examined the social distance between the Syrians living in our country and assessed the role of empathy and social oppression in the relationship between the social distance of people and their spiritualities. In this study, which is conducted with the internal mixed pattern, quantitative data is defined as "primary" and qualitative data is defined as "secondary". Qualitative phase is used to enrich and support quantitative results. In the quantum stage of the study; 363 students who are seeing a bachelor's education at the University of Marmara at the Ataturk Education Faculty and identified by simple non-selective method were attended. Participants have been applied: the scale of spirituality, the scale of determining the level of empathy, the scale of social distance and the scale of the direction of social oppression. The analysis of the data was conducted by Nicel. According to the findings obtained, the established model has been confirmed and it has been found that the variable of spirituality significantly depends on the social distance to the Syrians through the variables of empathy and the means of social oppression. However, the effect of the medium-changing empathy on the social distance has been low compared to the other medium-changing and the effect of the medium-changing empathy on the social distance has been low compared to the other medium-changing, and the effect of the medium-changing empathy on the other medium-changing has been effective in the re-treatment of the medium-changing as a quality. In the qualification stage of the study, the level of spirituality and the level of social distance determined by measurement sampling were high, 4 of the women 2 of the men, 6 of the bachelor's students studying in various universities of Turkey. Open-end interview questions were asked to the participants to understand the level of empathic relationships. The method of content analysis is used in the analysis of quality data. With regard to the qualitative findings, there is no clear state that the levels of empathy of the participants are generally low or high, the result is that the linear relationships offered by the road analysis may be more complex and diverse. Nicel and qualitative findings are discussed together.
