Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Kaygı Ölçeği Geliştirme Çalışması

Bu araştırmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin fen bilimleri dersine yönelik kaygı düzeylerini tespit etmek amacıyla kullanılabilecek geçerliği ve güvenilirliği sağlanmış bir ölçeğin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Osmaniye ili Düziçi ilçesinde tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören 796 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın ilk aşamasında 41 maddeden oluşan taslak ölçek hazırlanmış ardından alanında uzman yedi kişinin görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Uzmanlardan gelen dönüt ve düzeltmeler doğrultusunda altı madde ölçekten çıkarılmış, 12 madde ise düzeltilerek taslak ölçeğe dâhil edilmiştir. Son şekli verilen 35 maddelik taslak ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini belirlemek amacıyla açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmış, analiz sonucunda üç faktörlü 20 maddeden oluşan ölçek elde edilmiştir. İkinci aşamada doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmış ve uyum indeksleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler uyum indekslerinin uygun olduğunu göstermektedir. Ölçeğe ait güvenirlik, Cronbach Alpha güvenilirlik katsayısı ve test-tekrar test tekniği ile analiz edilmiş ve ölçeğin güvenilir olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ortaokul öğrencilerine yönelik geçerliği ve güvenirliği sağlanmış fen bilimleri dersine yönelik kaygı ölçeği geliştirilmiştir.

Anxiety Scale Development Study For Science Course

In this study, it was aimed to develop a valid and reliable scale that can be used to determine the anxiety levels of secondary school students about science course. The research was carried out with 796 students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, selected by random sampling method, in Düziçi district of Osmaniye province in the 2020-2021 Academic Year. In the first stage of the research, a draft scale consisting of 41 items was prepared, and then the opinions of seven experts in the field were sought. In line with the feedback and corrections from the experts, six items were removed from the scale, and 12 items were corrected and included in the draft scale. In order to determine the construct validity of the 35-item draft scale, which was finalized, exploratory factor analysis was performed, and as a result of the analysis, a scale consisting of 20 items with three factors was obtained. In the second stage, confirmatory factor analysis was performed and fit indices were examined. The data obtained show that the fit indices are appropriate. The reliability of the scale was analyzed with the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient and the test-retest technique, and it was determined that the scale was reliable. As a result, an anxiety scale for secondary school students about science course was developed with validity and reliability.
